Food Pantry

Our food pantry was established in 1998 and has been serving clients in Clark County for over 11 years. We are members of the Oregon Food Bank, the Clark County Food Bank as well as participants in the Washington Emergency Food Assistance Program. We provide, once a month, a well balanced emergency food box to individuals and families who live in Clark County. In 2010 we served 2579 households, over 10,443 individuals and distributed 182,785 lbs of food

How to Obtain an Emergency Food Box

We distribute food boxes every Sunday (except Holidays) from 12:00 pm. to 1:00 pm at the Portal Building which is located at 2007 E 12th St Vancouver WA. We are directly across the Street from Hudson’s Bay High School and a Bus Stop is located on the corner of Mill Plain and Reserve. We will give an emergency food box, once a month, to anyone in Clark County WA. For your convenience, numbers are available from 9:30-10:00 am. You do not have to get a number to receive a box. Once you have received your number you are free to leave, just make sure you are back in line by 12:00 pm sharp. Please line up in numerical order. If you have not received a number just get in line after the last person with a number and then we will give you a number when you arrive. When you come to access a food box, you will be asked to fill out a client intake form that requests the following information: Your name, address, phone number, birth date and age, as well as the name, birth date and age of all individuals that are in your household. We also ask that you bring some sort of ID that has your name on it. You are not allowed to pick-up a box for someone else. If you are disabled or have a caregiver that person can pick-up your box if they have a signed note from you and it has been approved by the Executive Director.

In February 2012 ONE LIFE is changing to a shopping style pantry where our clients will be able to choose their items. In Order to facilitate healthy choices while shopping we will also introduce on site nutrition education, cooking classes and recipe sampling. A children's reading section will also be provided.
